Education &
Community
We’re committed to arts education for people of all ages, means, and abilities.
What we offer
-
CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS
We offer one-time workshops, drop-in classes, and classes that meet consecutively (courses). Instructors who teach recurring classes per semester rarely repeat the same lesson twice, so you can build upon skills learned in previous courses rather than repeating the same projects repeatedly. See our list of classes below. -
COMMUNITY GROUPS
We use this registration system for sign-ups for community groups because it lets us know who's going and coming and helps us communicate with the group all at once rather than sending individual communication.See the selection below.
Want to START a community group? We are happy to host or help in any way we can. Reach out to artsed@watauga-arts.org. -
PRIVATE INSTRUCTION:
We do have instructors who teach privately. Please scroll past our classes to see our list of private instructors and contact them directly. We are happy to open our space for private lessons as our schedule allows. If you need this service, please contact us at artsed@watauga-arts.org..

Independent Instruction
For private one-to-one or very small class instruction, and other unique instructional situations, we offer “Independent Instruction” opportunities. Our primary goal is to support artistic teaching and learning endeavors by providing instructional space when the course otherwise would not become a WAC-sanctioned course due to size, needed equipment, pricing, or other factors.
Independent instructors handle all course-related matters including scheduling, promotion, and communication. As a courtesy, WAC lists current independent instructors here. For more information on their offerings, please contact them directly using the contact form linked below each instructor.
