Regional Artist Project Grants

The Watauga County Arts Council partners annually with our neighboring counties (Ashe, Alleghany, and Wilkes) to offer financial assistance to artists….assistance which will help them move their careers from one level to the next.   We are proud to participate in this program and urge you to explore this website for more information on how you can apply.

Deadline for Application for the 2017-2018 Grant Cycle is Friday, September 15, 2017

You are encouraged to attend a workshop to learn more about the grants process and how to make your application competitive:

  • Watauga County – Wednesday, August 23rd at 4pm at Blue Ridge ArtSpace
  • Ashe County – Thursday, August 24th at 5:30 pm at Ashe Arts Center

The Regional Artist Project of Northwest North Carolina Grants Program is a partnership between the arts councils of Alleghany, Ashe, Watauga, and Wilkes Counties and the North Carolina Arts Council.  It is intended to provide project support to a broad range of visual, performing, literary, and inter-disciplinary artists that will have a significant impact on the advancement of their careers.
