Gallery

The Arts Council is thrilled to have received a special gift of gallery space from local businessmen, John Winkler, Roger Wright, and Kenneth Wilcox.

Our new gallery is located at 783 West King Street, Suite A (in the same building as Paolucci’s Italian Bar and Grill). 

Inside the gallery we have two dedicated gallery exhibitions each month and we are also adding a retail gift shop.

The gallery is staffed by volunteers and is currently open:

Friday from 12-6

Saturday from 12-6

and Sunday from 2-6.

The gallery is also open for special events and by appointment.

We host a monthly gallery reception on the evening of the first Friday of every month to celebrate each new exhibition.

Local artists (defined as artists residing in Watauga or an adjoining county) are encouraged to submit an application for exhibiting in the gallery or for inclusion in the juried gift shop.  Artists must be Watauga County Arts Council members to qualify for either the gallery or the gift shop.
